The straw hat is a premium sun hat specifically designed to fit YAKKAY bicycle helmets. It is a modern interpretation of a turn-of-the-century "picture hat" which has been updated for a sensation seeking modern women.

3" protective brim

A dermatologist approved 3" halo brim evokes imagery of Sophia Loren along the Amalfi Coast while protecting your skin from UV rays.


Elegance in Engineering

A custom elastic elastic band keeps the cover fastened to the helmet at speeds up to 30mph. The open weave of the Straw Hat Cover facilitates air flow through the six vents of the Yakkay Smart 2 Bicycle helmet. This keeps you looking elegant in all weather.

Double Reinforced

A memory plastic reinforcement wire is sewn into the brim with a tried and true millinery technique utilizing a zigzag stitch. The process is then repeated with a second wire. This attention to detail means the brim will still have integrity even if the hat gets scuffed or a thread breaks
